Dr. François Simoens is the CEO and co-founder of SteerLight, a deep-tech start-up launched in July 2022 with the mission of transforming 3D vision through a new generation of miniaturized LiDAR sensors based on silicon photonics and FMCW technology. He developed this groundbreaking value proposition by drawing on over 25 years of experience in photonics. Dr. Simoens’ expertise in imaging was built at CEA-Leti, where he first served as a project manager before transitioning into business development and strategic marketing roles. He now leverages his experience to drive the development of SteerLight's solution, working closely with his team and partners to deliver value to customers.
