Dr. Nikos Pleros is an Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and Head of the Win.Phos research group at AUTH’s Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation. His research interests include all areas of photonics and plasmonics and their applications in computing, sensing and communication networks. He has coordinated several FP7 and H2020 European projects and received the AUTH Excellence Award 2018 for his project funding ID. He has received the 2003 IEEE Photonics Society Graduate Student Fellowship, while he was proud to (co-) supervise three more Fellowship winners during their PhD.
